Director Chris Milk Gets Innovative

The Arcade Fire teamed up with Director Chris Milk to make the most innovative and interactive music video I've ever seen, The Wilderness Downtown. The video invites you to type in the address of the place where you grew up. Then Google Earth images of your street are inserted into the video. Although the "pop up" layout is bit annoying, Chris Milk gets mad props for being so cutting edge. Dramatic and nostalgic, the song is a typical Arcade Fire anthem. Hearing the music over images of my old neighborhood actually choked me up a bit.

Chris Milk's past projects have been entertaining--his stunning photo blog features shots of President Obama, U2, and Green Day:

His critically acclaimed short film "Last Day Dream" was a sucker punch of emotion:

And his music video for Gnarls Barkley was gnarly:

In short, Chris Milk is worth watching.
